Bio

Exceptional jazz is made when masters come together to create a sound greater than the sum of its parts. The Perpetual Jazz Trio is fashioned after the great jazz groups of the mid-twentieth century. Performing fresh arrangements of timeless classics this trio targets the feel and spirit of the genre in a way that pays homage to our musical ancestors.

Formed by Yohaan Gandevia on piano, David Marfleet on acoustic bass and Em McArthur on drums; the 3 met in the beautiful town of Nelson BC and have been refining their sound tucked away in the Kootenay mountains.

Soft ballads intermixed with up-tempo swing create a dynamic show that takes audiences back to sounds of the great early jazz groups. Blending creativity with technique and a pure love of jazz is what gives this professional trio its well-rounded repertoire.
